We are seeking two dedicated Full-Time Assistant Managers for our Penrith Charity shop.

As part of our community-focused retail operation, you’ll play a key role in developing the business and leading our exceptional team of volunteers.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily shop activities and manage staff to achieve financial targets.
    Recruit, train, and motivate a team of volunteers.
    Ensure compliance with accounting procedures, including cash handling and Gift Aid processes.

What We’re Looking For:

Essential: Previous charity retail experience; desirable: furniture shop experience.

Strong communicator with excellent organizational skills.
Self-motivated and resilient, with the ability to build positive relationships.
Confidence in working independently and managing a team.

This Role is Full Time, working 5 out of 7 days.

Fundraising & Communications Administrator

Location: Oak Tree Farm, Wetheral
Position Type: Part-time, 3 Days per week

Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Fundraising & Communications Administrator to join our team. 
Job Summary: The Fundraising & Communications Administrator will support our fundraising efforts and enhance our organisation's communication strategies.  
This role will involve managing donor relations, assisting in the execution of marketing campaigns, and ensuring that our messaging aligns with our mission.  
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, possess excellent communication skills, and have a passion for making a difference. 
Key Responsibilities: 
Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of fundraising campaigns and events. 
Manage donor databases (ETapestry), including tracking contributions, maintaining records, and generating reports. 
Assist in the distribution of marketing materials, including newsletters, brochures, and press releases that promote fundraising initiatives and organizational updates. 
Assist in developing content for our website and social media platforms, ensuring consistent messaging and branding. 
Collaborate with the fundraising team to identify potential donors and sponsors, conducting research as needed. 
Assist in the creation of engaging content for emails, social media posts, and other platforms to enhance community engagement and donor relations. 
Maintain relationships with existing donors through regular communications, acknowledgments, and updates on the impact of their contributions. 
Support the management evaluation of fundraising activities 
Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for fundraising strategies and communication outreach.

Job Title: Field Fundraiser

 
Location: Based at Wetheral, Cumbria and visiting various locations in the communities across Cumbria 


Position Type: Part-time – 3 Days per week

Job Summary:

 
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Field Fundraiser to join our team. The ideal candidate will help us raise vital funds through community engagement, events, and direct outreach.

 
This role is crucial to furthering our mission of providing care and shelter to animals in need.

 
Key Responsibilities: 


Actively engage with community members to cultivate relationships and drive fundraising efforts through face-to-face interactions. 
Organise and participate in fundraising events, outreach campaigns, and awareness activities to promote the charity's mission. 
Identify and approach potential donors, sponsors, and partners within the community. 
Maintain a database of collection tins and collect and replace them on a regular basis, developing donor relationships with individuals and businesses. 
Refer major Corporate enquiries to line manager, book in meetings, and brief on potential outputs. 
Maintain accurate records of interactions and contributions in the fundraising database (ETapestry) 
Provide exceptional donor care by acknowledging contributions, offering updates on our work, and keeping donors informed and engaged. 
Report on fundraising progress, challenges, and strategies to management regularly. 
  
Qualifications: 
Passion for animal welfare and a strong understanding of the issues facing animals in our community. 
Previous experience in fundraising, sales, or customer service preferred. 
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences. 
Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. 
Comfortable working outdoors and in various community settings. 
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if/when required. 
Experience using social media platforms is a plus.
