Caroline
Head of Animal Welfare
I was that kid that brought home injured birds, random dogs that had “obviously” been abandoned and on one occasion a lamb!! Although my career path took me down a very different route to the one I had envisaged with animals, I was able to fulfil my passion outside of work. Whilst overseas I founded and ran an SPCA providing advice, emergency care and minor procedures for the local pet and feral population. This also involved working with Conservation projects and delivering educational talks to the local community.
After over 20 years overseas, it’s been a fantastic opportunity for me to continue working with animals now that I’ve returned home. I am so impressed with the dedication and care shown by everyone at Oak Tree to improve the welfare of not just the animals on site but in the wider community. I can’t think of a better job!
