Business Support Assistant

I started volunteering at Oak Tree in 2018 and enjoy the interaction with all the visitors - both human and furry!

Since joining the team I’ve assisted in retail, donations sorting and at events so when the opportunity came up to join the team on a part-time basis providing business support I was more than happy to apply. No two days are the same and my activities are varied but the most important aspect is helping to generate income to look after the animals in our care. 

Whether I'm preparing for an event, supporting the tearoom or undertaking administration duties to ensure events - both internal and external – I’m always looking for creative ways to promote and develop the business. Supporting the network of volunteers is also part of my role and as we develop the business assisting with inductions and training will be a key focus. 

When I’m not helping at Oak Tree I spend my time walking the fells with my canine companion, Millie, and hubby; or I’m out and about practicing my photography!
