This volunteer role is to provide vital support to our Education Team, helping to run Animal Welfare Kid's Fun Days, including supporting SEN children.

This volunteer role is to provide vital support to our education team, helping to run animal welfare kids’ fun days, including supporting SEN children.
Tasks include
· Ensuring children aged 4-11years are cared for and ratios are met
· Supporting children with tasks such as making enrichment for animals
· Ensuring children stay together in a group when walking around the site
· Helping to serve lunch and snacks to children
· Supporting SEN children to undertake the activities in ways that meet their needs
What attributes are we looking for?
· Experience working with primary age children, ideally including those with SEN
· Ability to take instruction, as well as good verbal communication skills.
· Must be over 18 years old.
· Has current DBS, or willing to apply for one
· Physically fit, able to walk around the site
· Own transport is beneficial due to location (Wetheral site) – we are currently not in a position to offer transport.
Support and training will be provided for this role as appropriate.
Hours : Currently 4 days in August (22/23/30/31st August) 9.30am-2.30pm, with potential for more days in the future
