Description
Basil is a 16-month-old welsh cross gelding who came to us in January this year as part of a bigger rescue effort by the RSPCA. He is currently standing at around 11.2hh and we do not expect him to make more than 12.2hh fully grown.
Basil is an independent and confident little dude and is proving very trainable. He will stand quietly to be held for the farrier, dentist and vet but is a typical baby and will get bored quickly and begin to fidget. He stands perfectly to be groomed and will stand quietly with a haynet for a bath. He leads well and is not strong. Basil can be turned out with both mares and geldings and adjusts quite quickly to being in a different herd.
Basil is looking for a home where someone can continue on his basic training, and in the future continue his education to making him a superstar ridden or driven pony!
