Meet Echo!

Echo is a 5-year-old cob mare with a sensitive nature.

Echo arrived at Oak Tree with little to no handling and lacking in confidence. Echo has steadily gained trust and continues to develop under the care of our equine team.

Echo is good to catch and lead, she stands to be groomed and have her feet picked out, she also accepts bathing. Despite this, Echo is still a nervous character and can be easily startled. She requires a calm and confident handler.

Echo is good to lunge and long rein in an arena and open spaces. She can be spooky at times. When out on the road she passes a variety of vehicles such as vans, tractors, cars and cyclists. She shows off good movement when doing pole work and loose schooling including jumps. Echo shows quite a shine to jumping. Echo can live out with an appropriate field shelter as well as being stabled. She is currently turned out in a mixed herd.

Echo has recently started the backing process. We are taking this very slowly as she does get frightened when introduced to new things. Echo listens well to voice commands and is willing to learn.

Due to Echo’s nervous disposition, we are looking for someone who is knowledgeable with younger horses and has a good way with nervous behaviour. An opportunity to build a relationship with this young mare who has a lot to give.
