Description
Trigger is a curious cob who loves lots of attention. He was born last year on site and is now ready to find a home with experience handling youngsters, to grow and continue his education.
He stands well to be groomed and can pick up his feet. He is good for the vet and farrier. Trigger catches and leads well, having more confidence when led alongside another horse. He is a quick learner. Trigger was a very nervous foal at the start of his life so would benefit from a calm but confident handler.
He is a typical youngster with a short attention span, which any potential adopter needs to keep in mind when spending time and bringing Trigger on.
As he is only a small cob he will likely not grow bigger than 12hh.
Updates
August 2024: Trigger has been going for walks across site by himself to gain some independence and confidence away from his herd mates. He is very curious of everything he sees and always wanting to investigate. He has been introduced to some target training and will happily follow a target around a course of cones, poles and scary fillers with ease!
November 2024: Trigger has been learning horse agility. He entered his first course last month and came 2nd!

On average, we have 400 animals come into our shelter every year. Please take a look at some of our horses and ponies looking for loving homes and see if you can find a friend for life. Where appropriate, all of our animals are vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. We also give each animal a behavioural assessment to identify their needs and help you find your perfect companion.
